Tilda with Heart Socks

Hi again everyone, it seems like ages since I last was here... but it turns out it is actually only two weeks.
There is a new challenge at MDUC this week -  we are looking for projects with WINGS.

First of all - let me apologise for the quality of my photos. In the move we lost the camera battery charger so I had to resort to taking the photos with my phone. OMG. I also have to improvise where I take my photos, lol. At the old house I had the perfect place but here I struggle to find enough light. Oh well... its only for a few months :)

This is Tilda with Heart Socks. I pulled out an old Spellbinders set to make my butterfly easel card and the papers are Magnolia's new range for the With Love collection.

Tilda's butterfly wings were created using the Doo Hickey Dragon Fly die. All of the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. The gorgeous frosted berries and string are from The Ribbon Girl.

I hope you have a chance to play along this week at MDUC, we would love to see your Wings creations.

I will try to be a little more active now. Things have settled down with the new house and progressing quite quickly!
I'll try and be back in a few days.
Until then, have a lovely weekend!

Tilda with Big Tulips

Magnolia Down Under Challenges is back for the New Year with a fabulous new challenge for you.
For our first week back we are asking for FLOWERS
And this little Sweetie - Tilda with Big Tulips from the With Love collection, was just perfect for the occasion.

She is coloured with copic. I was trying something a little different with the Tulips. I wanted to achieve a "Parrot Tulip" affect on these lovely big tulips. What do you think?

There is no patterned paper on the card at all, it is entirely embellished with die cuts from Doo Hickey dies. I really don't use my Doo Hickeys as often as I should.

The bead cap is from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The rhinestones are from The Ribbon Girl.

I coloured using Zoe's Make it Colour cardstock for Copics.

I hope you get a chance to come and join us at MDUC this week, we'd love to see what you come up with!
Thanks for popping in again. Its nice to see your comments :) I'm sorry I don't get around to comment as much as I should - I promise - I do visit though.
We start our new house in the next week or so - I'll try and keep you updated with the events. Its going to be very exciting!!

Until later,
Hugs Kylie

Bonny Tilda

How cute is little Bonny Tilda? I love her hair and her chubby little thighs :)

I have to say, she is just adorable! I haven't ever coloured a little tooshie before, lol, so it was a bit of a learning experience, but oh, just look at her adorable curls and chubby cheeks!

Here is the front of the card so you can see the sketch.
All of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. the adorable crystal string and berries The Ribbon Girl and chipboard butterflies and branch are Make it Crafty.

The beautiful papers are from Magnolia's new With Love collection and I've fussy cut some butterflies from the paper to embellish as well.

A little close up of the detail

I thought I'd do something different for a change and there is the sentiment inside, by North Star Stamps, the lovely heart stamp from Magnolia and more butterfies

I cut an aperture in the flap with my nesties so the sentiment could be seen through.

So there you have it. My Bonny Tilda aperture card :) It was loads of fun to make and I've been itching to share it with you for a week!

Hugs x

Tilda Blows Hearts

Happy New Year friends!
I hope you celebrated with family and friends last night. May 2013 bring you everything you ever dreamed of!

We saw the new year in quietly at our house, with a spot of crafting for me, followed by a movie with my hubby. My four year old woke up in time to join us late in the night and felt very special for being allowed to stay up with Mum and Dad.

This is the sweet little card I made last night with one of the adorable stamps from the With Love collection - Tilda Blow Hearts. She is just adorable and lovely to colour. The papers are also from  the new collection as well.

Some doo hickey die cuts and Wild Orchid Crafts flowers to finish off.

I would also just like to remind you of a couple of challenges...
Magnolia Down Under Challenges is running an Anything Goes challenge until the 12th and
The Sketchy Challenges has a fantastic sketch by Heidy until Friday so there is still a few days to go there too with fabby prizes at both up for grabs.

Enjoy your day and Happy New Year!!
