Splash Tilda

Well... it is here in Australia. Its lovely and warm here at the moment so I was in the mood to colour up a cute little Tilda from the Sea Breeze collection - Splash Tilda.

Tilda is coloured with Copics and because I wanted her to have a bit of a bronzed look I've used some darker colours, which I will list a bit later on.

The sentiment is also from the Sea Breeze collection.

A few dies were used, a MFT die for the note book edge on the sentiment, and Spellbinders Creative Book Pages set for the shape around Tilda.

I'm really enjoying my hols :) Can you tell? But unfortunately they're half over already, sigh.  I long for the days when I was a stay at home mum.

Well... I might be back a bit later on with something else to share, see how we go with the family activities today.
Bye!

Magnolia Christmas Advent Calendar

Merry Christmas to all of my Magnolia friends, today is my day to host the Magnolia DT advent. I hope you like what I have prepared for you.

Magnolia are kindly offering a wonderful Christmas gift to a lucky fan. Just leave a comment on my post and I will choose a comment and publish tomorrow.

My project is a card I've made to look like an envelope with a letter to Santa from Tilda and Edwin.

There is a silver embossed stamp and I have also dry embossed some cream card and printed Santa's address onto vellum and stitched and distressed the edges.

Some bells and die cut embellishments to decorate.

Inside... what do we find?

A little pop up scene with Tilda and Edwin playing in the snow. Do you think little Tilda is being cheeky?

Poor Edwin, I don't think he suspects a thing, do you? But little Rudolf has caught on, hehe.

We have a little "wish list" tag for the children to tell Santa what they would like to see under the tree Christmas morning... and a "Naughty or Nice" sentiment.... I wonder who is naughty and who is nice?

And here you can see a little bit how I have popped up the characters in the scene.

I thought acetate sheets would be the best so they were hidden, but it turns out they're a little tricky to stick!

A view from above.

Some embellishments inside. Lots of doo hickey die cuts. And Magnolia sentiments.

And finally the back of the card, the return address for Santa :)
So what do you think? Will Tilda and Edwin wake up to some presents on Christmas morning or is someone going to be disappointed? I hope Santa has a sense of humor, haha.

I hope you like my card. It is a bit more detailed than what I've been making lately and a great chance to challenge myself. It has been a hard year here for my family and we are very much looking forward to 2014.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year!

Remember - leave a comment to be in the running to win a present from Magnolia!

Some simple Christmas cards to share

As usual I am running out of time! I have all these grand ideas to make Christmas cards, but never end up having enough. So this year, I've succumbed. I'm making some CAS Christmas cards.

All of the stamps are of course Magnolia. Some older stamps and some newer ones.

The kraft cards I found at a local department store and went to town heat embossing everything :) That was fun - I don't often heat emboss anymore.

These little cards have some patterned paper on them and I've used a doo hickey label die to cut the start on the white card to let the patterned paper peep through.

I over inked the edges of this one :/ oh well. I adore the little Polar bear and Penguin though! Such little cuties.

The papers are from MME Mistletoe Magic.

A fair bit of stickles is added to frost them up :)

I do plan on making some more lavish cards soon - I finish work for the year on Friday so hopefully after that I will have some more time to go crazy at my craft desk.

Don't forget that Magnolia Down Under Challenges has an anything goes challenge running until December 31. Please head over and check it out - there are three sponsors with prizes up for grabs :) We'd love to see you join in the fun.

Until a bit later in the week...
Hugs and happy holidays!

Circles!

Its the first day of December! Woohoo!
That means that today we're putting up our Christmas tree :o) I love decorating the house for Christmas. So much fun!

At Magnolia Down Under Challenges this week our challenge is CIRCLES - no corners allowed.

This is a cute Tilda from 2010. I've masked her with the Silent Night background from ..2008(?)

Some cute flowers and die cuts and we're done. A nice simple card this week.

I hope you get a chance to join in! We would love to see you.

White on White at MDUC

Happy Friday friends,
well, here I am, just 5 days late with my post for MDUC.
I have been so sick this week and just didnt have the energy to get to my desk. Thankfully today I appear to be on the up so here it is, my White on White card.

I've punched and die cut and embossed like crazy on this card. I had a blast using some techniques that I haven't for some time. I adore white on white cards and Christmas is the perfect time to make the most of it.

Something else I adore, is Zoe's 'no lines' technique. This cute little angel is also perfect for this technique. This stamp is from last year's Nativity collection. I think she is one of my favourites.

The sentiment is an old "Tickled Pink" sentiment.

If you want to enter this week's challenge, you have about 14 hours to do so! Still time to get your craft on this lovely Friday!

Have a great weekend.

Jingle Bells

Good morning friends,

Its Sunday again, where do the weeks go? And we're only 5 week out from Christmas - are we getting excited? I love Christmas.
This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges, the challenge is Jingle Bells :o)

I've coloured up this cute little bear from last year's Little Christmas collection and made a Christmas bauble.

Lots of white Frantage creates the snow. That was fun :) This is a fun project to make and I think I'm going to do a few more. The kids will love them

The reverse of the image had to be tarted up as well as you Copic girls will know, the reverse side of the card is always a bit messy ;)  The sentiment is from this year's Winder Wonderland collection.

I hope you get a chance to come and join us at MDUC.
The girls have again created some masterpieces to share.

I hope to be back during the week with something else... see how I go ;)

Until then, have a great weekend!

Tilda with Little Hat

Hey everyone :)
The card I am sharing today is a commission for someone at work. She liked the card I made a couple of weeks ago that she ordered another.

I thought this cute Tilda from the Special Moments collection would look so cute masked together with the Romantic Window background stamp. Its one of my favs but I always forget to use it.

The pretty paper is Prima from my LSS. A doo hickey on the edge of the card and some embellishments and we're done.
I hope to be back in a day or so with a Christmas project I've been working on. I love the new Winter Wonderland stamps,
Until then, have a great week!

Merry Christmas Tilda

Good morning! I think this is my favourite stamp from the Winter Wonderland collection. I love her little basket of poinsettias.

The challenge at MDUC this week is Debbie's Sketch. Its a really sweet one and I had a lot of fun with the go kreate dies to create my card.

I found these cute little chipboard locks in my stash. I'm loving the Doo Hickey Poinsettia this year!

Cute Tilda

And a side shot of the inside of the card. The papers are Pink Paislee from about two years ago.

I hope you get a chance to join in with the great sketch! Can't wait to see all of the entries.

Show the way Jolly Bullfinch

My poor markers are getting a bit of a work out right now - its that time of year when I love to colour - its almost Christmas time!

I was going through my stamps on the weekend and came across a few that I hadnt inked in a while. The new Magnolia club that arrived last week meant that I had a great masking opportunity at hand.

The only stamp from the Winder Wonderland collection is the "Show the way sign", the rest are from much older collections. I love how you can collect stamps over the years and they all come together to make a scene :)

Its all coloured with Copics, some snow tex added with some stickles and doo hickeys and we're done.
Thanks for stopping by! See you again on the weekend.

The day before Christmas

How cute is this little fella? I've seen him around Blogland a little bit already and he seems really popular.
I do love an Edwin :)

Lots of die cutting on this card. It was fun to make a smaller sized card than usual. I hope to get a few more Chrissy cards done in the next few weeks.

Ahhh - Christmas - my favourite time of the year.... if you don't count Easter.. ;)

Afternoon Tea Tilda

Its MDUC time again and this week Ying gets to choose the theme! And its a good one too - Autumn Vintage.

I inked up these cute stamps from the Little London collection for my card. The papers are old Teresa Collins (I think!).

This cute little Tilda is so sweet to colour - and I had to have the little Magnolia puppy too. Adorable.

I hope to have some more craft time this week, I received the Christmas stamp club this week and they're calling me!
Until later, have a great week!

Tripping Flower Tilda

Happy Sunday friends,
Another new challenge at MDUC this week - Anything Goes

I've had this coloured on my desk for a little while now.... I wasn't happy with it. The colours were too pale for me I think? So I got out my RV markers and added some contrast. Much happier, but still not perfect.

We'd love for you to join us at MDUC this week.
I'll be back a little later this week.
Hugs Kylie

Karate Tilda

Oh - hooray - it is the weekend finally!
Time to get the markers and stamps out! Its craft time, sigh - bliss.

This card was a commission from someone at work. She is a martial arts instructor and requested a card for one of her students - a little girl turning 8 year old who has an orange belt - did I have the perfect stamp for this little missy!

This is Karate Tilda - I almost didnt believe that this stamp was two years out already. These last few years have just flown by.

Had to add a "8" to the card :)

And a little doo hickey peacock watching miss Tilda do her martial arts.
Some shabby pink frantage, lots of girly lace and flowers and we're done.
I hope the recipient likes her special card. My work colleague was pleased so that was enough to make my day.
I'll be back Sunday
Hugs xx
