Waterlily Tilda

Hi there friends :o)
Is it Monday already? Gosh, where did the weekend go?

Today I have a Diagonal Double pocket card to share - you can find the tutorial over HERE at Split Coast Stampers.

The flowers and pearls are Wild Orchid Crafts.

The cute little Magnolia stamp is Waterlily Tilda from the new Summer Memories collection which was released last week. She is sooo cute. I have paired her with some Prima paper.

What did you get up to this weekend? Get much crafting done?

Farewell Tilda

Good morning everyone,
I hope you have a fun weekend planned?
We're having a nice quiet one. Yesterday we headed out to the shops with the boys to find some ingredients for my eldest son's birthday cake - he is determined that he will have a blue truck cake for his birthday on Saturday next week, lol. Its amazing how strong minded a little boy turning 4 can be ;)

My card today is for two challenges that went live this weekend....

This is a card for Oma Jo. My husband's grandmother who was here visiting us from Holland over Summer. My little boys grew quite attached to her while she was here and although she has been back in Holland for almost two months, they are still asking for her to come and play.

I have inked up Farewell Tilda from the Bon Voyage collection of 2010. This is the first time I've coloured this stamp and she is just adorable. I wasn't so happy with the way I coloured her hair, but oh well.

The papers are Lost and Found Two Blush. I love this collection. The pinks are so rich.
The flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts and the gorgeous taupe rose ribbon is from my sweet friend Louise in Sweden. She sent me this ribbon last year and I use is so sparingly so I have it forever, lol. The cream cotton lace with ribbon through it is from Magnolia.

I hope you get a chance to join us at both Magnolia Down Under and also The Sketchy Challenges - why not combine your project for both challenges as I have done?

Until later, have a great weekend,
Hugs K

TOMIC #47 - Inspiration photo and Get well or Best wishes

Hi there Magnolia Friends,
There is a new challenge at TOMIC this week. This week we have a gorgeous inspiration photo for you along with the theme "Get Well Wishes or Best Wishes".

I've finally had a chance to ink up this adorable "Edwin in Miami" from the new Summer Memories collection.  I've coloured Edwin in Copics and had a play putting in a sea background as well.

I hope you get a chance to play along this week. The inspiration photo is just gorgeous, as are the DT examples.

I should be back on Saturday with something else to share.
If I dont get to chat between now and then, have a great week!
Hugs Kylie xx

TOMIC 46

Howdy all! There is a new challenge at TOMIC today - this week the challenge:
 DooHickey's & Mini World
A Doo Hickey tag must be the base of your project but you are allowed to place it on a bigger base + Use any stamp from Magnolia mini world on it.

First - I have to apologise for the dodgy photos, they were taken at night. I guess I have a bit to learn about photoshop! haha. I'll update them when I get some time on the weekend.
My stamp club arrived this week so I had to ink up the new cuties. I dont know the names of the new stamps just yet but they are all lovely summer sea themed. Too cute!

I decided to decorate a larger gift bag to put my Mini world doo hickey Tilda tag on. The papers are a mix of October Afternoon. The flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts.

I hope you get a chance to join us this week at TOMIC.  There are more goodies up for grabs from Magnolia so well worth the time if you have it.

Watercan Tilda

Hello again, wow, two posts in one day? OMG - I haven't done that in a very long time!
There is a new challenge up at Wild Orchid Challenges today, the theme is "Spring is in the Air".
There is also a new challenge over at The Sketchy Challenges this week - we have a brilliant sketch from one of our new teamies, Janine :)

I have combined my DT efforts into one card, something I try not to do, but I really didn't have time to make two separate projects and I dearly wanted to participate in both.

I have inked up adorable Watercan Tilda from the Sweet Rainbow collection from last year. This is such a sweet little Tilda :) She is coloured in Copics and wow, I almost gave up. You know those days when its just NOT working??? That was me with this card :S But I got there in the end and I am actually quite happy with the result.

All of the lovely embellishments are Wild Orchid Crafts.

The alphas are by October Afternoon and the papers are Kaisercraft. The lacey edge of the card is cut with a Doo Hickey die and all of the layers are stitched together.

I hope to be back later on in the week with something else to share -  I received my new Magnolia stamp club in the  mail today so I am really keen to get colouring!
Have a lovely week,
Hugs, Me x

Fight like a girl

Hi there everyone! Well.. I am running late again. I only finished my card for MDUC's new challenge - Flags and Banners - a couple of hours before it was due to go up and it was too dark to take a photo so I've had to wait until now to get myself organised.

I have always liked this cute little Tilda from The winner takes all collection from last year but she has only just joined my little family of stamps recently. Despite having an idea in my head how I wanted my card to turn out, It didnt quite work out. Sigh. Oh well... I guess that is what happens when you craft under pressure haha.

Here's a closer pic of the banner i added to my card.

I've used a doo hickey die down the side of my card to girly it up a bit and some grungy inking with DI Pumice stone.  All of the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and the pretty cream lace is Magnolia.

I hope you get a change to join us at MDUC this week.
I'll be back tomorrow with something else to share.
Until then, have a lovely weekend.

TOMIC #45

Hi there everyone!
My card today is for TOMIC challenge!
This week are looking for Criss Cross card with the theme of Princes and Princesses.
If you haven't made a Criss Cross card before, gorgeous Silvie has done a tutorial for you to follow, thanks so much Silvie!

My card features Tilda Princess of the Valley and I have made my card into an invitation using the new invitation stamp. I used my Doo Hickey dies for the lace edging and tag.

The papers are Prima and flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts.

I love Criss Cross cards and I had a lot of fun making this one, its been a while :)
I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week, there is another fantastic prize up for grabs from Magnolia!

I'll be back on the weekend... until then
Enjoy your week!

Tilda Paints Egg

Happy Easter everyone!
The Easter bunny paid a visit to our house overnight and the boys are quite pleased with what was left behind - a good mix of hot wheels cars and chocolate eggs.

There is a new challenge up at MDUC this morning as well. This week we have a sketch to play with.

I've coloured up Tilda Paints Egg. I think she might be from the Hoppy Easter collection from 2010.

All of the gorgeous flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. The papers are Kaisercraft.

I hope you have a nice day planned with your loved ones. We're busy trying to curb the intake of chocolate in our little boys. Apparently the idea of "you dont have to eat it all at once" is a bit strange to a 3 year old and a 2 year old!
One of the Easter gifts from the Easter bunny to the boys was a cardboard Fire Station with some little eggs in it. I'm going to have to pull it apart later and trace off a template! It is awesome haha. It opens out so you can see inside and the roof opens for the eggs to go in... um.. yes... perhaps the Easter bunny brought these for the boys just so Mum could check it out...

Wish me luck! haha, I don't like my chances of getting the boxes off the boys without a tanty ;)
Have a great day everyone! Don't eat too much chocolate!

Spring Chicken

Happy Easter everyone!
Do you have a lovely quite weekend planned with family? Hopefully with lots of Easter eggs and Hot Cross Buns to keep you company?  I do! I LOVE Easter. It is my favourite holiday. Being in Australia, it is autumn here at Easter time and it is my favourite season, so it is just perfect - good weather, good food and a long weekend.
Wow, can you believe I only made my first Easter card last night? OMG.. I am waaay behind. I have a couple more to go, but with that in mind, I thought I would try and create something simple..

I coloured this cute little Chicken Tilda from the Hoppy Easter collection  with Copics on Make It Colour cardstock, then fussy cut around her. The card is white bazzil that I've run through my Grand Calibur using my new Nesties that arrived a couple of weeks ago. Some sponging with Antique Linen DI to follow and then my sentiment and tulips were stamped directly onto the cardstock.  The tulips are coloured with Prisma pencils - this is when disaster struck... yup, I spilled my entire bottle of odourless spirits on my desk - eeeeekkkk!!! Yup, its all gone. So I'm heading off to the art store tomorrow to find some more. Sigh.

I was a little worried, but the odourless spirits DID end up drying and you can't tell that it was spilled all  over my card :S

Isn't the sentiment cute? I love Magnolia's sentiments.
So there is my simple Easter card.

Thanks for visiting me. I have been a bit quiet these last few weeks, I hope things pick up a bit soon.
I do miss my bloggy friends :o)

Beautiful Tilda

G'day friends, how was your Monday?  I suppose it is just beginning for some of you! Here on the Eastern side of Australia, the day is coming to an end, my little boys are in bed and about to catch some zzzzz's and Hubby and I are settling in for a quiet evening.

A close friend of mine has a special birthday tomorrow......she is turning the big 4-0 oops, I mean, 21 again!
I thought I would make an explosion box with a surprise cupcake inside. Adorable Beautiful Tilda is sitting atop some gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts....

The tag is cut with a fantastic Magnolia Doo Hickey die.

My friend has lovely dark brown hair with burgundy tones throughout, so I tried to colour Tilda with similar hair colour.  I think the Copic colours I used were E 49, 57, R 59, E 42 and lots of gold Spica pen.

Have a  great week,
xxx

Its beginning to look a lot like Easter...

Good morning!
Only one week to Easter, my favourite holiday of the year.
It is so much easier than Christmas and so much more fun.

The challenge at MDUC this week is "Easter Inspired"

I found these cute little metal buckets at my local supermarket to decorate. I wanted to decorate them for my little boys, but I don't have any Easter Edwins! It is really strange but this is the only Easter project I have made this year. Oh well.. there is still a week to go :)

The papers are Echo Park, flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts.
The buckets were full of mini easter eggs... but I kind of ate some so you can't see them above the trim hehehe. See... Easter is my favourite holiday of the year ;)

I hope you have a chance to join us at MDUC this week.
Hugs K xx
