Wrapped Violet

Hi everyone. I hope your Wednesday is treating you well.

I really don't know what to write today. Yesterday I heard some heart breaking news from a blogging friend, her 2 month old granddaughter passed away to SIDS. As a mother, I just cannot even begin to understand the grief her daughter and entire family must be going through right now. It is just devastating. It is something no parent should ever have to endure.

Not really knowing what words to say I ended up sitting and making a sympathy card. My first ever. And hopefully I will not have to make another one anytime soon.

My friend is a Maggie fan so I wanted to make a card using a Magnolia stamp, I thought this sweet little "Wrapped Violet" was perfect.

I won't go into too many details about the card today. If you happen to know the person in question (and I know some of you do), maybe you would like to send her a card as well. Feel free to contact me if you require address details.

I'll be back a bit later in the week.
Until then, take care
Hugs xx

Hi Kylie, I have been a follower and a fan of your blog for ages, I think your work is just beautiful. I dont always leave comments for you but after reading this post I decided to leave you a message
The card you have made is beautiful and will help your friends family feel that you are thinking about them, I know this as I have lost a child, he was 9 and not a newborn not that this makes any difference. One of the most comforting things for me at the time was to recieve cards, because it helps to know that friends, collegues and family are thinking of you and offering support, so the simple thing of you making this card will touch her heart, more than you will ever know.
My thoughts and prayers go to your friend and family
Hugs Kat xx

Thanks Kylie. This sad news leaves us speechless. Your idea of a card was lovely and I had already began working on one this morning before catching up with your blog.
You haven't heard of me because I am not a blogger, but I enjoy your ideas, enthusiasm and work with the MDUC. Your latest posting deserved a comment so here it is. All the best with your move... Many thanks,
