Pink Ribbon Tilda

Good morning lovelies!
Gosh, only 2 more sleeps until the big day!

We have our final challenge for the year at Magnolia Down Under today. We are having a bit of a break over the holidays and will be back on the 13th of January in the New Year for some more Maggie fun.
But we're not going and leaving you with out a challenge - we have a fun Anything Goes challenge to keep you all occupied.

I was very fortunate to find Magnolia's new Stamp club in my mail box this week. We've been moving house for the last week or so and my craft supplies are in a bit of disarray, however I simply HAD to ink up this little sweetie pie straight away. Have you seen the new stamps out in the "With Love" collection? There are so many adorable ones, I can feel my bank balance shrinking just looking at them!

My flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts and the cheesecloth, twine, buttons and gems are from The Ribbon Girls.  The card shape was cut with Go Kreate dies.

I hope you have a lovely Christmas planned.
And I hope you have a chance to come and play along at MDUC :)

Magnolia Advent Day 17!!

Merry Christmas my Magnolia friends!
I am so very excited to share with you today my project which I made for Magnolia's Advent calendar - shutter 17!

I have made a Christmas decoration which is also a shaker with some glitter and hearts.

I stamped and embossed "A Merry Christmas" in white in this little window.

This little cutie pie is the Bull finch from So Jolly collection of 2009. And my favourite Christmas accessory stamp, the gorgeous forest stamp.

I've painted and stickled a cute little chipboard Santa and reindeer. Lots of Doo Hickey dies are used to decorate as well. Some stamped ornaments. All coloured with Copics.

And finally, adorable Tilda in the window at the bottom. I think this has to be my favourite Tilda from the Nativity Collection.

If you would like to be entered into the draw for today's Magnolia's Advent Prize. Then all you have to do is leave a comment at the end of this post and I will be back to announce the randomly drawn winner tomorrow!

Thank you so much for visiting me and good luck!

Tilda with little dove

Hi there friends,
I have a little gift box here to share with you today.

I have inked up this sweet little Tilda from the Nativity collection from Magnolia. She is just adorable.
The box is one that I saved and have altered with silver paint and white gesso.

All of the flowers, berries, bead cap and twine are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Tilda with Little Dove coloured with lovely auburn hair.

And the finished box.

Have a great week!

Nativity scene

Hi again Magnolia fans. Thanks so much for checking back in with me today.
I am still suffering with this rotten asthma and sinus infection. I havent had asthma for about 10 years so it has come as a bit of a shock to me this allergy season.

Anyway, whinging aside - I am back today with my card for Magnolia Down Under Challenges. This week the challenge is my sketch. It is a pretty easy one as it is really great to see how each crafter puts their own personal spin on a sketch. So feel free to go as simple or as intricate in your interpretation of the sketch as you wish.

I finally sat down and masked together some of the cute stamps from the Nativity collection. I will admit, it took me several attempts to get a decent masked image, lol. I am way out of practice in masking and was determined to do these little cuties justice.

The crystal stems, twine, bells, aster daisies and filigree corner are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The poinsettia, fern leaves and other die cuts are all Magnolia Doo Hickey Dies.

The papers are mostly Magnolia but also some MME thrown in there.

Finally - the finished result.
The stamps are:
Holy Edwin, Holy Lamb, Holy Sheep, Holy House and last but not least, Little Holy Baby
All from the Nativity Collection.

I hope you have some time to put aside to get crafty and try out my sketch this week.
With Christmas just around the corner we are all so busy, it makes good sense to just sit and take some time for yourself to relax and craft.
I hope to see you at MDUC.

Hugs K, x

Oh Christmas Tree

Hi again,
Just a little something to share with you today.
This cutie is the freebie stamp that is a gift with the latest Magnolia Ink, the Christmas issue. Isn't she a cutie pie? All I need now is one exactly the same but with Edwin ;) (Hey - Pauline - hint - hint!!)

The Christmas tree card shape was so easy to make. I just cut a 12 x 5 inch rectangle, scored it in half, and trimmed from the fold 2 inches in through to the base on each side, leaving one inch at the top for the fold. I cut a second triangle 5 inches x 7 inches and traced the card base on that, trimmed off the corners and this is what I decorated.

I've used two Doo Hickey die borders and some lace for the tree. The little bauble stamps are from last year's Christmas collection. The flowers and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The star is from my stash.

So a quicky to share today.
I'll be back on Sunday something to share for MDUC.
Thanks for visiting me today,
Have a great weekend!

Skiing Tilda

Hello again. I'm finally back with my card for The Sketchy Challenges
This challenge we have Heidy's sketch and it is a really great one to play with - you can add as much or as little detail as you wish!

I've gone with Skiing Tilda for my card. She is so cute all decked out in her skiing gear.

Of course all of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The lacey border is a Doo Hickey die.

This is the last Sketchy Challenge for the year. The challenge will run until until the New Year and we will be back on 5 January for some more fun. We would love to see what you do with Heidy's sketch so please come and join in the fun.

See you a bit later in the week,
Hugs x

Bottle Tag

Hey there everyone.
Well I am a couple of days late posting my project for Magnolia Down Under Challenges. This week we are  asking you to Make a Bottle tag. Obviously a wine bottle is the first thing to come to mind, but it doesn't have to be wine, I can think of some cute ideas for kids bubble bath or chocolate syrup too! And it seems we're all in the Christmas mood at MDUC right now, but you don't have to follow the Christmas theme either, its entirely up to you.

I've used this little cutie pie with some lovely Magnolia papers and lace.
The flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts.

I hope you get a chance to join us this week at MDUC. The Ribbon Girls are sponsoring us with a fantastic prize package.
I'm sorry for the late post, I'm in bed ill :( I have some more catching up post to do too, so I will be back a bit later with something else to share.

Christmas Ornaments

Hi Friends,
Today I would like to share some cute little ornaments that made for my boys.

I have decorated two kraft board letters that I found  at the local hardware store.

This is Aiden's ornament. He has Ski Edwin with Snowflakes and some more green touches. This kid is in love with green.

And this is Jarred's ornament. He love blue so it has blue moonstone brads and flowers. He has Edwin Skiing from the Winter 2008 collection on his ornament.

I wrote a little message on the back of each ornament and dated them too.

The boys were really excited when they saw the finished result. I was too :) I think I have started a new family tradition - "Mum made" ornaments to each boy each year :)

I should be back tomorrow with something else to share.
Until then
Have a great day!

Holy Tilda with Lamb

Hi again friends :)
Today I have a new card to share with you,

I have coloured the adorable new Holy Tilda with Lamb from the new Nativity collection. There are so many adorable stamps to love in this collection, I am yet to choose a favourite.

I have used some gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. The lovely copper label plate is by Francheville.

Well, I hope you have a lovely week!
See you again soon,
Hugs x

Nativity Collection Wreath

Good morning friends,
Finally, I am back. I feel very out of sync with 'normality' right now. I suppose it is the season and also the mountain of work ahead of us as we prepare to move and build.

Last night I finally sat down and was able to focus on my project for MDUC today - the new challenge is Wreaths. Today is Remembrance Day so we have given you the choice of making a Remembrance Day or Christmas Wreath. But then, it doesnt have to actually be a wreath, it can be a stamp with a wreath or some other item featuring a wreath. The choice is all yours.

I was very excited on Thursday when some new stamps arrived in my post box. The gorgeous angels from the Nativity collection are so dreamy. These two are Angel Tilda with Gloria (above) and Tilda Captures Stars (below)

The wreath is a cane one I purchases and splashed with gesso to make it a little shabby. The stars were left overs from Zoe after our trip to Melbourne for Paperific.  All of the flowers, brads and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I had ideas of putting lots of die cuts on the wreath but it was really late when I got to this stage last night and I kind of like the simpler look so left it as it was instead of going overboard when tired and ruining it.

I hope you have a lovely weekend of crafting planned. I'll be back tomorrow with a card to share.
Until then, Hugs x

Tilda and Little Rudolf

Hi everyone,
well its been a week or so but I am back. Things have been a little hectic.
There was a new sketch by Kathrin over at The Sketchy Challenges which finishes this Friday so if you would like to enter - be quick!
I felt terrible because I couldnt get a card done in time for the post, but it was such a great sketch by Kathrin (I love her sketches) that I just had to have a go - better late than never.

This is Tilda with Little Rudolf from the Christmas Story collection and the Winter Night background from 2008.  The papers are all Magnolia. I have used two of the new Doo Hickey dies from the Christmas Story collection too, Christmas Lace and Sprawling Ferns.

All of the flowers, pearls and twine are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I encourage you to go and check out Kathrin's sketch at The Sketchy Challenges, its a beauty! Live and Love Crafts are sponsoring too so there is a fabulous prize on offer. Well worth playing along!

I should be back on the weekend with something new to share.
Until then, have a lovely week.

Jingle Jangle Tilda

Busy busy again, where do the days go? Gosh, I suppose we are on the down hill run to Christmas.

My birthstone is Pearl and light amethyst so I've gone with lots of lovely lavender on my papers and pearls to embellish.

All of the lovely embellishments are from Wild Orchid Crafts

The cute Tilda is a newbie from the A Christmas Story collection and the tree is from 2008 (I think!).

I hope you get a chance to join us this week at both challenges! They work well together.
Until later, Hugs xx

Tilda with Lovikka Mittens

Good morning! It is MDUC time again :) This time we are "Inspired by a Song".
It is probably pretty easy to guess what song I've chosen.

I've been painting again hehe. I'm going to keep trying until I get it right.
These are two stamps from the latest Magnolia Club set. They are from A Christmas Story, the newest collection, Tilda with Lovikka Mittens and Snowy Roof.

All of the gorgeous flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts.

I hope you get a change to play along at MDUC. The girls have done an amazing job.
We can't wait to see what you come up with!
Until later, fa la la la!!

Ski Edwin with Snowflakes

Hi friends,
Gosh, where to begin! Things here have been a little tense lately. Last night I just needed to sit and paint... so that is exactly what I did. Luckily for me my new stamps and papers had just arrived from The Crafty Witch so I was able to get inky with this adorable new Edwin and church background.

As soon as I saw little Edwin on his bot-bot with his skis, I had to have him. I am the world's worst skier, lol, so I had to sympathise, haha. The Swedish Church background was also a must have.

I used my DIs to colour the scene and stamped around the edges with the Magnolia Snowflake stamp.
The papers are Magnolia as well, Scandinavian Map from the Supper Memories collection. Some Doo Hickey die cuts and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, and job done.

I'm slowly getting used to the DIs and painting. Its just practice. The right paper is definitely a must though. We dont really have much of a choice of papers here in Aus, but I am lucky enough to have a Swedish "supplier" of some lovely water colour stock - thanks Louise! It is amazing.

Well, thats it from me today. I will be back on Sunday with more, but maybe I can try and sneak in another card between now and then... we'll see! I hope so.
Until later, Hugs x

Edwin with Sack and Jasper

Ohhh - how I adore these two stamps!! Edwin is ALWAYS adorable in his little Santa suit :) And little Jasper the cat is super sweet too.

I finally splurged and bought a couple of Go Kreate dies and made a little shaped easel card with one for this fortnight's challenge.  I love the fun shape.

I have a heap of WOC products on my card... gosh, I just couldn't stop myself!

Been testing my water colour painting again :) This one was super fun to do.

And some Magnolia paper and Doo Hickey dies and the card is complete!

Until later,
Hugs K xx

Shake it, shake it

Good morning! It is shaker card week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges
Oh my word, the girls have done an amazing job this week, all of the cards are just WOW - we have a special guest too, Katie K, and you just have to go and check out her card. Amazing!!

I painted Tilda with her little lamb from the A Little Christmas collection for my shaker card. She is so cute :) Probably one of my favourites this year so far.

All of the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. The cute little wooden birdie is also WOC.
I finally used the lamp doo hickey die. I adore this die and never seem to get it out to play.

Well, that is it from me today. I hope you get a chance to come and play at MDUC this week, we'd love to see your shaker cards!
I'll be back tomorrow with something else to share.
Until then, have a great weekend,
xXx

Tilda with Two little Gifts

Hi there and I hope your weekend is off to a terrific start!
Today I'm here to share with you my card for The Sketchy Challenges. This time Kathrin has created the fantastic sketch and she is also sponsoring the prize with her own store.

I've been painting again. This time with one of the adorable new stamps from Magnolia's new Christmas collection - Tilda with two little gifts. The papers are all Magnolia as well and a handful of amazing Doo Hickey dies and embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts helped finish off the card.

I hope you get a chance to play along with us this fortnight. Kathrin's sketch is a beautiful one to play along with .
I'll be back tomorrow with my card for Magnolia Down Under Challenges.
Until then, big hugs xx
