Star Tilda

Ohhh - Christmas is getting closer! Just three months to go! And yes, I have finally started to get into the Chrissy mood.

For this project, I washed out an olive jar and decorated it for a candle. The top of the jar is 'frosted' with German Glitter Glass. The paper is Magnolia and the adorable Tilda is "Star Tilda" from the Merry Little Christmas collection 2010.

I've punched around the paper edged with a MS punch and then added some cheesecloth and seam binding to pretty it up a bit.

I can not wait to get my hands on this year's Chrissy collection - have you seen them yet? I am just GREEN with envy of my crafty friends who were lucky enough to get to Stampel Mekka this year and get them early - you lucky lucky ladies!!

And just to make you smile, here are my two best ever creations - my little boys! They are 'helping' me while I am trying to take pics of my candle holder, lol. They thought it was great fun blowing out the candle over and over. Cheeky little monkeys!

And the cheekiest monkey of all, my eldest. What a smile. Every day he begins to look more and more like his Daddy. I am the luckiest Mum in the world to have two amazing little boys. I fall in love with them both more and more every single day.

Ok, enough sappiness from me :) I'll let you get back to your day.
Thanks for visiting me!
Big hugs

TOMIC #17 - Get Inspired

Happy Monday to you all!
Are you ready for some luxury and elegance? The new challenge at TOMIC this week is just perfect if you are. Not only do we have the most fantastic sketch by Tina to play wtih, there is also the theme of Gustavian Style with a stunning inspiration photo to get your creative juices flowing.

For my card, I took inspiration from the lovely gold furniture and the cute kitty :) I guess it is kind of obvious, but the fabulous Vintage Chair from the You are so Special Collection was the perfect choice for this challenge.  If you are curious about Gustavian Style, you can read about it HERE. There are lots of fabulous hints.

I've used Magnolia papers for my and some Prima lace (the darker cream lace) and a mix of flowers from Magnolia, Petaloo and WOC.  The Vintage chair was inked in Versamark and embossed with gold EP. Tilda and her kitty are both coloured quite pale in Copics.

I hope you have a chance to play along with this challenge this week. It was heaps of fun, I just loved the inspiration pic and reading about the style inspired by King Gustav III.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today. I will be back with something else to share with you tomorrow.
Have a great day!

Blueberry Tilda

Good morning! It is time for a new challenge at MDUC! This week the challenge is Fancy Folds. I couldn't wait to make one of these shadow box cards again, this one is actually for my sister's birthday which is today! Happy Birthday Nai!

I was searching through all of my stamps and came across this little cutie pie. I just love all of the Magnolia stamps but the A Little Yummy collection is definitely one of my all time favourites. This is Blueberry Tilda and I've used both the full sized Tilda and the mini Tilda.

The papers are Lilybea Design (I think - I'll have to double check) and I just adore this gorgeous lavender colour.  The inside image is Blueberry Tilda masked with the Heart Fence.

The images are all coloured with Copics. The pretty paper lace edge is cut with Magnolia Doo Hickey Dies.

The mini Tilda is stamped on Make it Colour cardstock and then trimmed and mounted on 3d tape onto bazzil, which was die cut with the new Doo Hickey doily die.

Well.. thanks for stopping by to visit me today!

Adorable Yoga Tilda

Good morning! It is MDUC time again :) This week we have a gorgeous inspiration photo for you to play with. It is just beautiful. I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to ink up the most adorable stamp from The Winner Takes It All collection - Yoga Tilda. As soon as I saw her I HAD to have her. She is just the cutest.

I've masked Tilda with the Stone Path from the Butterfly Dreams collection and the gorgeous Birch Tree from 2007.

The gorgeous butterfly is a Magnolia Doo Hickey die, as is the branches. The fun gold coil things are from Magnolia too. I just love these.

So here it is - it is a little door hanger. The pink seam binding and mini pink roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. All of the edges are inks with DI Antique Linen and I've punched around the edge with my MS Cherish punch set. The letters are from Prima.

Well ,thats it from me for a few days - I'm back out in the garden and then will be painting a few walls in preparation to sell the house :S Lots of fun! haha.

Enjoy your week!

Wilma is looking rosy

Hi! It is time for more fun and games at both Pink {INK} and Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges.

My sketch is a fairly easy one to play with. I live to leave as much as possible for you to interpret so I can't wait to see what you come up with. The DT have created amazing jaw dropping cards to share with you again. They are so creative these girls!

I have combined my card for Pink {INK} with my Fuzzy Wuzzy challenges DT again. The challenge at Fuzzy Wuzzy is PINK for this month. It is our last month and the DT are self sponsoring with some of us giving away the prizes - so there are multiple prizes to be won.

I've used Magnolia's Wilma from the Right Through my Heart collection and also some of their gorgeous Magnolia Ink papers. The flowers are all Petaloo.

For once I have managed to decorate the inside of my card! haha.

That is it for me today, I will be back with some more cuteness tomorrow for MDUC.

Well, have a great Saturday! We're fixing up our house to sell these next few weekends so busy busy!!
See you tomorrow

TOMIC

Woo hoo!! It is time for our next challenge at TOMIC!

This week we have a really yummy challenge for you... in fact, I am hungry just thinking about it. This week we are looking for a theme with a colour combo....

Chocolate (brown & cream)

"The colours brown and cream are mandatory and have to be dominant.
The chocolate theme can be illustrated by recipe, word, decorations, theme...
You must use a Magnolia stamp which is cooking related from the numerous collections of Magnolia stamps. "

For my card, I  have used a sheet of Prima paper that I have been saving for at least a year. It was time to use it I think !  I folded the paper into a Shaddow Box card. I recently discovered these but the format was too small for me so I've altered it so it is finished approx 5 inches square.

The images are Chef Tilda and "A Little Yummy" sentiment from the A Little Yummy collection, Strawberry from Lazy Summer Day collection and the  Love Muffin (I'll have to check the collection that one for you, sorry!!). The images are coloured with DIs on Archers Watercolour paper.

We would love for you to join us at TOMIC this week! I think we're all going to gain a few kilos while we're commenting hahaha.

Have a great week. I'll be back tomorrow with something else to share with you!

Welcome little baby xx

Good morning, good morning, good morning. I hope that the sun is shining where ever you are in this fantastic world today.

We have a new baby to welcome into the family this week! Babies are always a very special gift to any couple, but we couldn't be happier to welcome this one in particular. My husband's gorgeous cousin had a baby boy, Dion, on Monday after a long and emotional journey with IVF. With many of my close friends having to go through this stressful process, we were so thrilled when we heard of thier success.

Welcome to the world baby Dion - you are one very lucky little man to be so wanted by two wonderful people.

Of course when I had to make a special card for little Dion :) I am heading out to the mall today with my kids to find a special pressie for him. I'm thinking a toy kangaroo, hehe.

For my card, I used the terrific sketch which is the new challenge at Magnolia Down Under Challenges this week. My gorgeous friend Karen designed the sketch and I love how it turned out with my card.

Of course I had to use the cute little "Sitting Alvin" from the Spring Summer 2008 collection for my card.

The papers are MME Fine and Dandy True Blue. Cute hey? The beautiful lace is from Magnolia and the flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts. I finally used my new Magnolia Doo Hickey dies - and I loved love love them.

Well.. thanks for your visit today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, I will be back tomorrow with something else to share,
Hugs

Shabby Tilda

Well, after a very busy month during August, I am so relieved that it is September and Spring! Last night I sat down and made a card. Yes, I know, I know, nothing unusual there :o) But I didnt have any reason to do it other than I wanted to. It was really refreshing to have the time to just sit and create and enjoy it.

One of my bloggy besties, Kellie recently sent me a bunch of stamps that she no longer uses and this is one of them - Shabby Tilda. Isn't she a sweetie? (Kellie and Tilda of course haha). I really love the stamps from around 2008ish, this is the time that I discovered Magnolia stamps and my addiction began so they mean something quite special to me.

The card was cut using a Grand Nestie on my Grand Callibur. Because I dont have a lot of the Grand dies yet, I cut the circles for the card on my Cricut.

So that is it from me today, hahaha two posts in one day ;) . I hope to have some else to show you later in the week.

Have a fantastic Sunday!!

Heeeey YA!

Happy Fathers Day to all the Dad's celebrating today :o) My hubby has had a nice morning of a sleep in, cuddles with the boys and a yummy breaky (wentelteefjes - YUM). So he is pretty satisfied with his morning so far.

My project today is for Magnolia Down Under Challenges this week. Our challenge is "Frame It".

I bought the Tim Holtz Small Easel Die a few weeks ago as I had seen my gorgeous MDUC Teamie Anne use it a couple of times and I thought what a great idea. So that is what is behind my frame holding it up. I forgot to take a picci of it though, silly :S I finally inked up adorable little Karate Tilda from the new Winner Takes It All collection and masked her with the Magnolia Tree from the Hoppy Easter Collection. Of course it is all coloured with Copics :o)  To achieve the 'white' on Tilda's Gi I coloured with W 3, 1, 0 and BV 31 to get some nice shaddows. I thought she deserved a black belt hahaha. I asked my Hubby if she could have a pink belt but apparently the highest rank is a red belt so sorry Tilda!

The stunning flowers, Seam binding and silver corners are all Wild Orchid Crafts.

I've used my Doo Hickey die "Antique Lace" around the frame for a bit of extra girlieness. The paper is 7 Gypsies lightly inked with DI Antique Linen and then stitched in linen thread.

We would love to see you Frame It projects at the MDUC blog this week.

Thanks for your visit here today :o) Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
