Oh Christmas Tree

Hi again,
Just a little something to share with you today.
This cutie is the freebie stamp that is a gift with the latest Magnolia Ink, the Christmas issue. Isn't she a cutie pie? All I need now is one exactly the same but with Edwin ;) (Hey - Pauline - hint - hint!!)

The Christmas tree card shape was so easy to make. I just cut a 12 x 5 inch rectangle, scored it in half, and trimmed from the fold 2 inches in through to the base on each side, leaving one inch at the top for the fold. I cut a second triangle 5 inches x 7 inches and traced the card base on that, trimmed off the corners and this is what I decorated.

I've used two Doo Hickey die borders and some lace for the tree. The little bauble stamps are from last year's Christmas collection. The flowers and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The star is from my stash.

So a quicky to share today.
I'll be back on Sunday something to share for MDUC.
Thanks for visiting me today,
Have a great weekend!

Skiing Tilda

Hello again. I'm finally back with my card for The Sketchy Challenges
This challenge we have Heidy's sketch and it is a really great one to play with - you can add as much or as little detail as you wish!

I've gone with Skiing Tilda for my card. She is so cute all decked out in her skiing gear.

Of course all of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The lacey border is a Doo Hickey die.

This is the last Sketchy Challenge for the year. The challenge will run until until the New Year and we will be back on 5 January for some more fun. We would love to see what you do with Heidy's sketch so please come and join in the fun.

See you a bit later in the week,
Hugs x

Bottle Tag

Hey there everyone.
Well I am a couple of days late posting my project for Magnolia Down Under Challenges. This week we are  asking you to Make a Bottle tag. Obviously a wine bottle is the first thing to come to mind, but it doesn't have to be wine, I can think of some cute ideas for kids bubble bath or chocolate syrup too! And it seems we're all in the Christmas mood at MDUC right now, but you don't have to follow the Christmas theme either, its entirely up to you.

I've used this little cutie pie with some lovely Magnolia papers and lace.
The flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts.

I hope you get a chance to join us this week at MDUC. The Ribbon Girls are sponsoring us with a fantastic prize package.
I'm sorry for the late post, I'm in bed ill :( I have some more catching up post to do too, so I will be back a bit later with something else to share.

Christmas Ornaments

Hi Friends,
Today I would like to share some cute little ornaments that made for my boys.

I have decorated two kraft board letters that I found  at the local hardware store.

This is Aiden's ornament. He has Ski Edwin with Snowflakes and some more green touches. This kid is in love with green.

And this is Jarred's ornament. He love blue so it has blue moonstone brads and flowers. He has Edwin Skiing from the Winter 2008 collection on his ornament.

I wrote a little message on the back of each ornament and dated them too.

The boys were really excited when they saw the finished result. I was too :) I think I have started a new family tradition - "Mum made" ornaments to each boy each year :)

I should be back tomorrow with something else to share.
Until then
Have a great day!

Holy Tilda with Lamb

Hi again friends :)
Today I have a new card to share with you,

I have coloured the adorable new Holy Tilda with Lamb from the new Nativity collection. There are so many adorable stamps to love in this collection, I am yet to choose a favourite.

I have used some gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. The lovely copper label plate is by Francheville.

Well, I hope you have a lovely week!
See you again soon,
Hugs x

Nativity Collection Wreath

Good morning friends,
Finally, I am back. I feel very out of sync with 'normality' right now. I suppose it is the season and also the mountain of work ahead of us as we prepare to move and build.

Last night I finally sat down and was able to focus on my project for MDUC today - the new challenge is Wreaths. Today is Remembrance Day so we have given you the choice of making a Remembrance Day or Christmas Wreath. But then, it doesnt have to actually be a wreath, it can be a stamp with a wreath or some other item featuring a wreath. The choice is all yours.

I was very excited on Thursday when some new stamps arrived in my post box. The gorgeous angels from the Nativity collection are so dreamy. These two are Angel Tilda with Gloria (above) and Tilda Captures Stars (below)

The wreath is a cane one I purchases and splashed with gesso to make it a little shabby. The stars were left overs from Zoe after our trip to Melbourne for Paperific.  All of the flowers, brads and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I had ideas of putting lots of die cuts on the wreath but it was really late when I got to this stage last night and I kind of like the simpler look so left it as it was instead of going overboard when tired and ruining it.

I hope you have a lovely weekend of crafting planned. I'll be back tomorrow with a card to share.
Until then, Hugs x

Tilda and Little Rudolf

Hi everyone,
well its been a week or so but I am back. Things have been a little hectic.
There was a new sketch by Kathrin over at The Sketchy Challenges which finishes this Friday so if you would like to enter - be quick!
I felt terrible because I couldnt get a card done in time for the post, but it was such a great sketch by Kathrin (I love her sketches) that I just had to have a go - better late than never.

This is Tilda with Little Rudolf from the Christmas Story collection and the Winter Night background from 2008.  The papers are all Magnolia. I have used two of the new Doo Hickey dies from the Christmas Story collection too, Christmas Lace and Sprawling Ferns.

All of the flowers, pearls and twine are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I encourage you to go and check out Kathrin's sketch at The Sketchy Challenges, its a beauty! Live and Love Crafts are sponsoring too so there is a fabulous prize on offer. Well worth playing along!

I should be back on the weekend with something new to share.
Until then, have a lovely week.
K.
