A bookmark for my son

Good morning friends
I have a project here to share with you for MDUC today. There is a new challenge up and this fortnight we're looking for "Snips and snails and puppy dogs tails" - or if you prefer, one for the boys.

I am very excited that my eldest son has been showing interest in "chapter books". He is 6 and in the first grade at school. We've just begun "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and I couldn't be happier.

To celebrate this milestone, I made him his first bookmark.
This features an adorable older Edwin, "Heartbreaker Edwin" from the Right Through my Heart collection of 2010. He is sitting on "Books" from the Graduate collection of 2009.

The ribbons, string and button are all from Ribbon Girl.

I stamped the background with a Prima script stamp using "Old Paper" DI. The sentiment is Bildmalarna.

It would be great for you to join us at MDUC this fortnight.
Magnolia themselves are sponsoring the challenge so it would be a fantastic prize to win.
hope to see you there!

Bonny Tilda

Hi all. Well I have my all time favourite Maggie on my card to share today and I have to share with you - the reaction from my little boys when they saw it was pretty funny, oh the giggling!! I suppose naked cherubs are pretty funny when you're six years old.

This little cherub in particular reminds me of my eldest with the curls. haha.

There is a new challenge at MDUC today - Valentines with a twist - No red!
Not so hard afterall. I have to confess, I did want to do no red and no pink but I wasn't allowed, hehe, apparently that is too hard. Pish!

This cute stamp is Bonny Tilda from With Love collection 2013.

All of the embellishments (except the mauve crystal stems) are from The Ribbon Girls.
The mauve crystal stems and gorgeous papers are from Magnolia. The papers are actually Christmas papers but I thought they were kind of mixed purpose so used them anyway.

I've coloured Tilda with copics and inked the surround with DI Milled Lavender.
The sentiment is from he new collection, Lovely Duo.

It was fun to colour a little cherb for a change. Lots of chubby bits :)

So there you have it, my non red or pink Valentines card.

And finally, a little update of my puppy Lolly :)
She has grown a lo this week and settled into our family beautifully.

Until next time
Hugs Kylie x

Stop in the Name of Love

Happy Sunday all!
Today we have a new challenge starting at The Ribbon Girl - Romance, just in time for Valentines day in a couple of weeks.

I made this cute little shaped card  with a new stamp from Magnolia's Lovely Duo collection, Stop in the Name of Love Tilda.

I've gone a bit overboard with the pink :)
The sponsors this week are Lili of the Valley and Ribbon Girl, both with a £10 voucher.  I know I would love to win! That is quite a lot of goodies.

I have used Melissa Frances Her Majesty Applique Set Resins, 20mm Edwina Cream Deep Scallop, Stickles Stardust Ranger Ink, 10 metres Ivory Button Twine, 16mm Natural Plain Grosgrain, pale pink pearl string, 40mm white daisy - all from the Ribbon Girl store.

Tilda was coloured with Copics and the papers are appropriately enough, from the "Romance" collection by Prima.

I will leave you now with a photo of my new puppy who arrived in our house on Thursday, Lolly.
Lolly is a poodle cross cocker spaniel and is just adorable. She has fit into our little family very easily and is super smart and funny. My little boys adore her already.

I hope you get a chance to play along with the Ribbon Girls this week!
I will be back next week with something else to share with you.
Until then, happy crafting xx
