Jingle Bells

Good morning friends,

Its Sunday again, where do the weeks go? And we're only 5 week out from Christmas - are we getting excited? I love Christmas.
This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges, the challenge is Jingle Bells :o)

I've coloured up this cute little bear from last year's Little Christmas collection and made a Christmas bauble.

Lots of white Frantage creates the snow. That was fun :) This is a fun project to make and I think I'm going to do a few more. The kids will love them

The reverse of the image had to be tarted up as well as you Copic girls will know, the reverse side of the card is always a bit messy ;)  The sentiment is from this year's Winder Wonderland collection.

I hope you get a chance to come and join us at MDUC.
The girls have again created some masterpieces to share.

I hope to be back during the week with something else... see how I go ;)

Until then, have a great weekend!

Shake it, shake it

Good morning! It is shaker card week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges
Oh my word, the girls have done an amazing job this week, all of the cards are just WOW - we have a special guest too, Katie K, and you just have to go and check out her card. Amazing!!

I painted Tilda with her little lamb from the A Little Christmas collection for my shaker card. She is so cute :) Probably one of my favourites this year so far.

All of the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. The cute little wooden birdie is also WOC.
I finally used the lamp doo hickey die. I adore this die and never seem to get it out to play.

Well, that is it from me today. I hope you get a chance to come and play at MDUC this week, we'd love to see your shaker cards!
I'll be back tomorrow with something else to share.
Until then, have a great weekend,
xXx

Christmas bear

Hey there crafty friends.
I hope your weekend is going swimmingly.
There is a new challenge over at MDUC today.... your favourite colour combo - use 3-4 of your fav colours. Blue and kraft are usually two of my favourite colours. And I adore red as well, so it made lots of sense to put them all together for this challenge.

The cutie stamp is Magnolia from the Little Christmas collection and I sat down and painted him up with DIs.
The flowers, lace and ribbon are all Wild Orchid Crafts.

I hope you have a chance to share your favourite color combo with us this week. We'd love to see what you come up with. Til then, have a great week!

Twin Tilda's for my sister

Good morning!!
How is everyone today?
There is a new challenge at Magnolia Down Under today - White on white - we're looking for all white cards with the only colour being in the image.
This is Camilla H's first week playing with us so please check out the post and give her some love.
A massive welcome Sweetie!

I thought it would be a great theme for my sister's birthday card - its her birthday on Tuesday. We were quite close growing up, so I thought this sweet Twin Tilda stamp from the Cosy Autumn collection would be perfect.

I have used some Marianne Design dies along with some Spellbinder and Doo Hickeys.
The flowers and pearls are all Wild Orchid Crafts.
I borrowed my sweet friend Debbie Dolphins pearl string treatment idea. I really love the sweet touch.

I quite like the way the card turned out. Very soft and girly :o)

Everything is coloured with Copic markers and the edges inked with DI Tea stain before adding some white acrylic paint to tone it all down and so the whites matched.

Happy birthday to my big sister, Naomi! I hope you have a great day Tuesday and every time you look at your Pandora charm you are reminded of my little family.

Have a great weekend everyone and I hope to see you at MDUC with some gorgeous white cards!

Tilda had a little lamb

Hi Friends, sorry it has been a little while!
This has to be one of the cutest stamps around at the moment. I just love it. She is from the Little Christmas collection.

I love her poinsettia in her hair and her little lamb. Although... my three year old and I had a bit of an argument about the lamb - he is convinced it is a puppy...lol.

Instead of a sentiment, I used some AC Thickers for the word "Joy". All of the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. The cute papers are MME.

I will be back tomorrow with something else to share. Until then,
Hugs x

Pop Up Cards

Oh boy. Well.... it has been a little while since my last post. Sorry friends. There has been a lot happening here.

More about that another time.

This week at Magnolia Down Under challenges we have a terrific challenge for you - Pop Up Cards!!

This is the first pop up card in this style that I have ever made and let me tell you... I was a little bit unsure how I was going to go. Camilla S has done an amazing tutorial for us and her end result is just amazing.

My pop up card is much simpler... here is the cover

And here is the inside:

It was heaps of fun to make and I am really keen to make more now :o)

Of course if you wanted to make a different style of pop up card, go for it, all types are welcome.

Well... that is it from me today. I have a lot of new work to share with you over the next few days so I will be back.

Big hugs xx

Christmas Tilda with Cat

Good morning friends.
There is a new challenge over at Magnolia Down Under today. This week we are challenging you to use STITCHING, real or faux.

This adorable little stamp is Christmas Tilda with Cat. She is one of the cute stamps from the Little Christmas collection. She is just adorable!
The papers are Melissa Francis and all of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The dark green lace is from Magnolia and the lovely mint ric rak is a gift from my good friend.

I also want to share the cover of the new Magnolia Ink magazine - Turning Leaves.
I am a bit excited as the card shown on the cover is by my gorgeous friend Debbie - Yayayay! Congratulations Debbie.  It is stunning :o)

Next weekend is an exciting weekend for me. I'm heading down to Melbourne to Paperific, a large paper craft show in Melbourne.  I finally get to meet some of my crafting friends :o) It is just amazing the friendships we make via this wonderful craft and unfortunately we don't often get to meet these wonderful people in real life. I have been fortunate to meet a handful so far but this weekend is going to be a big one with lots of close friends all together. I can't wait! Magnolia are coming as well and Zoe and I will be demoing for them. It is going to be a fun filled weekend.

Beary Kiss-Mas

Hi there everyone!
I have a tag here to share with you today with one of the new Little Christmas stamps.

I just adore the little bears from this collection. I tried a new colour combination with my Copics for his hat and scarf, R59, R56, E04 and RV 91. It gives a lovely plum finish that I was quite pleased with. Its fun to experiment :o)

All of the embellishments are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I broke out my Snowflake die for the first time too.

There are also some Doo Hickey cut tags poking out behind.

This adorable little fella is Cozy Christmas Bear. How adorable is he? I love his cute little scarf and hat. I had a ball colouring his fur up. Adorable.

Thanks for visiting me today!

Little Tilda

Hi there! Its the weekend already. Yay!
That of course means a new round of challenges out there in blog land.
I have a card here to share for The Sketchy Challenges.

I have adorable "Little Tilda" here from the new Little Christmas collection from Magnolia. I have used a lot of Magnolia papers and Doo Hickey dies on my card as well.

All of the edges are inked with Tea Dye DI. The amazing flowers and pearls are Wild Orchid Crafts.

Tilda is coloured with Copics and a generous amount of stickles were used again.
I have to say, normally I would feel quite odd making Christmas cards so early, but this year it feels really lovely. We are having a very cold winter over here in Canberra - possibly even snow tonight - so it feels somewhat appropriate to be making some wintery Christmas cards :)

I was quite happy with how this card turned out. It is a lovely stamp to colour - as are all of the Magnolia stamps in my opinion :)
I have a bust few days blogging ahead of me. All of my challenges seem to have aligned on the one weekend  each fortnight, lol.
Until tomorrow - have a lovely weekend!

Tilda Dancing with Stars

Hi there,
how are you today?
I am pretty excited to show you a little box I made using this adorable new stamp from Little Christmas collection. From my understanding, there have been 6 stamps released and there will be further released later on towards the end of August... so if you like these adorable stamps, keep an eye out for more!  Once i know more, I will update you.

This is Tilda dancing with Stars.

I used my Cricut and made a star shaped box. The template/cut file is from My Time Made Easy

I then used the Starlight Lace doo hickey die to make the pretty star lace edging. All of the edges are inked with Tea Die dirstress ink.

The pearl string and flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and the pine cone and pine leaves are from a Time Holtz die, along with more doo hickey dies cuts to decorate - Tilda Ticket, Star Tag and Angel Wing.

The top layer of cardstock is embossed and a generous amount of stickles added.

I hope you've seen the collection around in the stores. I know I am in love with the little bears! So cute.
Take care and I hope to be back later in the week with more to share!
Until then - Hugs

Tilda Paints Egg

Happy Easter everyone!
The Easter bunny paid a visit to our house overnight and the boys are quite pleased with what was left behind - a good mix of hot wheels cars and chocolate eggs.

There is a new challenge up at MDUC this morning as well. This week we have a sketch to play with.

I've coloured up Tilda Paints Egg. I think she might be from the Hoppy Easter collection from 2010.

All of the gorgeous flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. The papers are Kaisercraft.

I hope you have a nice day planned with your loved ones. We're busy trying to curb the intake of chocolate in our little boys. Apparently the idea of "you dont have to eat it all at once" is a bit strange to a 3 year old and a 2 year old!
One of the Easter gifts from the Easter bunny to the boys was a cardboard Fire Station with some little eggs in it. I'm going to have to pull it apart later and trace off a template! It is awesome haha. It opens out so you can see inside and the roof opens for the eggs to go in... um.. yes... perhaps the Easter bunny brought these for the boys just so Mum could check it out...

Wish me luck! haha, I don't like my chances of getting the boxes off the boys without a tanty ;)
Have a great day everyone! Don't eat too much chocolate!

Spring Chicken

Happy Easter everyone!
Do you have a lovely quite weekend planned with family? Hopefully with lots of Easter eggs and Hot Cross Buns to keep you company?  I do! I LOVE Easter. It is my favourite holiday. Being in Australia, it is autumn here at Easter time and it is my favourite season, so it is just perfect - good weather, good food and a long weekend.
Wow, can you believe I only made my first Easter card last night? OMG.. I am waaay behind. I have a couple more to go, but with that in mind, I thought I would try and create something simple..

I coloured this cute little Chicken Tilda from the Hoppy Easter collection  with Copics on Make It Colour cardstock, then fussy cut around her. The card is white bazzil that I've run through my Grand Calibur using my new Nesties that arrived a couple of weeks ago. Some sponging with Antique Linen DI to follow and then my sentiment and tulips were stamped directly onto the cardstock.  The tulips are coloured with Prisma pencils - this is when disaster struck... yup, I spilled my entire bottle of odourless spirits on my desk - eeeeekkkk!!! Yup, its all gone. So I'm heading off to the art store tomorrow to find some more. Sigh.

I was a little worried, but the odourless spirits DID end up drying and you can't tell that it was spilled all  over my card :S

Isn't the sentiment cute? I love Magnolia's sentiments.
So there is my simple Easter card.

Thanks for visiting me. I have been a bit quiet these last few weeks, I hope things pick up a bit soon.
I do miss my bloggy friends :o)

TOMIC #36 - Edwin + Tina's Sketch

Hi there Maggie fans!
There is a new challenge up at TOMIC today! It is a special challenge as it is Edwin's birthday!
The challenge is to use EDWIN and follow the fabby sketch by Tina.

I took the opportunity to ink up little Pirate Edwin from the Bon Voyage 2010 collection and have masked him on the Pier background from Lazy Summer Days 2009 collection. I love this cute little Edwin.

Tina's sketch is a really great one to add your own personal touches to. I've used my Doo Hickey banner die (love it) and some little metal photo holders, along with some shells and a charm. The papers are Basic Grey Oliver.

We would love to see what you come up with this week at TOMIC. There is a fantastic secret prize up for grabs from Magnolia for a lucky winner as well.

Thats all from me today. I hope you've had a happy Wednesday whereever you are in the World!
Until later, have a great week

TOMIC

Woo hoo!! It is time for our next challenge at TOMIC!

This week we have a really yummy challenge for you... in fact, I am hungry just thinking about it. This week we are looking for a theme with a colour combo....

Chocolate (brown & cream)

"The colours brown and cream are mandatory and have to be dominant.
The chocolate theme can be illustrated by recipe, word, decorations, theme...
You must use a Magnolia stamp which is cooking related from the numerous collections of Magnolia stamps. "

For my card, I  have used a sheet of Prima paper that I have been saving for at least a year. It was time to use it I think !  I folded the paper into a Shaddow Box card. I recently discovered these but the format was too small for me so I've altered it so it is finished approx 5 inches square.

The images are Chef Tilda and "A Little Yummy" sentiment from the A Little Yummy collection, Strawberry from Lazy Summer Day collection and the  Love Muffin (I'll have to check the collection that one for you, sorry!!). The images are coloured with DIs on Archers Watercolour paper.

We would love for you to join us at TOMIC this week! I think we're all going to gain a few kilos while we're commenting hahaha.

Have a great week. I'll be back tomorrow with something else to share with you!
Hugs xx

Heeeey YA!

Happy Fathers Day to all the Dad's celebrating today :o) My hubby has had a nice morning of a sleep in, cuddles with the boys and a yummy breaky (wentelteefjes - YUM). So he is pretty satisfied with his morning so far.

My project today is for Magnolia Down Under Challenges this week. Our challenge is "Frame It".

I bought the Tim Holtz Small Easel Die a few weeks ago as I had seen my gorgeous MDUC Teamie Anne use it a couple of times and I thought what a great idea. So that is what is behind my frame holding it up. I forgot to take a picci of it though, silly :S I finally inked up adorable little Karate Tilda from the new Winner Takes It All collection and masked her with the Magnolia Tree from the Hoppy Easter Collection. Of course it is all coloured with Copics :o)  To achieve the 'white' on Tilda's Gi I coloured with W 3, 1, 0 and BV 31 to get some nice shaddows. I thought she deserved a black belt hahaha. I asked my Hubby if she could have a pink belt but apparently the highest rank is a red belt so sorry Tilda!

The stunning flowers, Seam binding and silver corners are all Wild Orchid Crafts.

I've used my Doo Hickey die "Antique Lace" around the frame for a bit of extra girlieness. The paper is 7 Gypsies lightly inked with DI Antique Linen and then stitched in linen thread.

We would love to see you Frame It projects at the MDUC blog this week.

Thanks for your visit here today :o) Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Altered canvas, part 2

Hello there crafty friends!  I hope you are all well :)

It is time for another fun challenge at Cute Card Thursday and this week we are challenging you to use NO patterned paper! OMG. A little panic here at my craft desk for a second until I realised that I could make part 2 of my little alterend canvas set.

So once again, I've covered my canvas in Gesso and cheesecloth and then sprayed it in glimmer mist and set about decorating it. The adorable Brother and Sister Tilda and Edwin stamp came out along with the Eiffel Tower (one of my favourites).  I used these stamps as they reminded me of my Hubby and I when we were in Paris.

The tag and photo anchors are from The Kraft Outlet. All of flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts (I will update these a bit later).  The scrabble tiles are from ebay :)

Hope you are enjoying your week! I can't believe it is Thursday already. Gosh!
