Tilda on the Beach

Hi there everyone.  Thanks for checking in with me again today.
I hope you've had a good weekend so far.
Over here in Aus we're at the tail end of winter but the sun is shining and it is starting to feel like spring! I can't wait for some warmer days ahead.

My card today is for both Magnolia Down Under Challenges and The Sketchy Challenges

This is Tilda on the beach. The challenge at MDUC is an inspiration picture that I have chosen with lots of lovely shabby white flowers, metal and an aged wood table set on a beach.

My card:

The sketch is by Sabine and you can find it at The Sketchy Challenges.

My card has lots of white flowers and blue/copper tones, distressing and some lovely frantage.

Tilda has been coloured with Copics. To incorporate the sketch, I've torn the edges of the paper and hidden some contrasting papers behind.

The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley. I've been so overwhelmed by the kindness of my wonderful friends recently, I feel truly blessed. I love this sentiment.

I hope you get a chance to join in at both challenges this week.
MDUC ends on Saturday and The Sketchy Challenges runs for two weeks.

Until later,
Hugs xx

Tilda and her Bunny

Hi there everyone,
I'm late for The Sketchy Challenges again... but Kirsty-Anne is hosting this week with a really great sketch and I just couldn't miss it so here I am with my late card.

This is Tilda with her bunny from the Special Moments collection. Pretty cute huh? I thought she was just perfect for one of my son's little friends who is turning 6 - a great opportunity to make a girlie card with lots of pink :)

The pretty chipboard is from Make It Crafty and I've inked it with versa mark and then added some shabby pink frantage to it. All the edges of the card are also frantage'd  and distressed.

I had to add Molly's name and the number 6 to the card as per my son's request. He was quite specific with his order ;)

I hope you get a chance to come and play at The Sketchy Challenges - the challenge runs until Friday this week so there are a few days left.

Until later,

Forget me not Tilda

Good morning all,
There is a new challenge at Magnolia Down Under this morning. This time our lovely Fleur has chosen the theme and we are Distressing!

I've coloured Forget Me Not Tilda from the Special Moments collection. I just experimented with her hair a bit to get some lovely auburn tones. It was kind of fun to do it a different colour.

The papers are Pink Paislee from an old collection that I am still saving. Some doo hickeys and flowers to go with. The edges are all distressed with my distressing tool and Tea Dye DI. There is also some tearing on some edges. Lots of fun to get rough with the papers!

I hope you can join us this week at MDUC. We're all really enjoying our DT pick challenges. Hope you are too!

Hugs x
