Flip Flop Tilda

Hmm... so I attempted water colouring again.... I go through stages you see. When I just want to sit and paint.  It seems that it will be relaxing... but I usually end up painting three images before I am happy enough with one. This is the first of about 4 water coloured images that have made it to cards... we'll see how we go!

There is a new challenge up at Wild Orchid Challenges this week - this time we are looking for Anything Goes.

The papers are Authentique and this is adorable Flip Flop Tilda from the Summer Memories collection.

So this is my attempt at painting... yes, I know I have a lot of practice ahead of me, haha, but it is really enjoyable and makes a nice change from markers.

TOMIC - Inspiration and theme

Hi there! It is TOMIC time again :)

This month is a fantastic new challenge - we have an inspiration photo, are looking for beach theme and also want to see a shell somewhere in your creation....stamped, as an embellishment, up to you. 

I took inspiration from the colours and the layout of the gorgeous Magnolia Ink cover by DT Silvie. I adore her card which is showcased beautifully. 

I went a bit snap happy when taking photos. I quite enjoyed colouring so my image looked "sepia" toned. My colouring is inspired by my good friend Debbie Dolphin. Her sepia toned water colouring is amazing!

This cute Edwin is from the Summer Memories collection, as is the sentiment. 

And finally, a photo of the whole card. Sorry, I bet you thought we'd never get there, hahaha. 

The blue berries are by Magnolia and the other flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts.

Surprise Baby Shower - for Louise!!

Hello there friends!!

We're having a baby shower over at MDUC for our gorgeous teamie, Louise. 

Louise is expecting her second bubba, due any day now and we wanted to help her celebrate by throwing her a baby shower. 

We all wish we could be with her in person to do this, but this is the best we could come up with.

The girls at MDUC have put together some beautiful baby inspiration to share with all of you. 

Louise is a close friend of mine and we are all eagerly anticipating the arrival of the newest addition to her family.  It has been an exciting few months for Louise and her gorgeous family. We wish them the very best and know their newest addition is going to be as perfect as their first daughter, Signe. 

The challenge for all of our MDUC friends to join in with is an inspiration photo with the theme - baby. 

I have made a gift for Louise, a door hanging for the new baby's nursery. 

I had so much fun making this for Louise. Its a joy to make a baby gift :o) 

I have masked Hobbie the Bear with Sweet Moon. 

The frame is cut using my Cricut and then the bottom layer punched with a MS Deep edge punch. 

All of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I had to show you some photos of my little guys in their PJs, straight out of bed with bed hair, lol. They wanted to be a part of the baby shower for Louise. 

Louise - I hope you are thoroughly surprised!! The girls really went to town, hahaha. 

We wanted to make the last few days of waiting special.

We can't wait to meet the newest addition to your gorgeous family.

Mmmm - BBQ

Well... it is the beginning of a very cold winter here in Aus, one of the coldest on record for decades. 

I needed a warm up so had to ink Burger Tilda and Tilda's BBQ from the new Summer Memories collection. Aren't they adorable?? I really love this cute little Tilda and she's been sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks waiting for me to give her some attention. 

All of the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and the adrorable papers are Echo Park This and That. Love them!! Perfect for a summery project.

OMG - I can't wait til these newbies hit the stores, this adorable little Tilda on the Turning Leaves Collection promo is simply too cute!!

Edwin's Oldsmobile

Hi there everyone. Happy Sunday to you all.

There is a new challenge up at MDUC today and we have a fun BINGO card for you to try out.

It was my Dad's birthday on Wednesday so I made this card for him.

I adore the new stamps from the Summer Memories collection and the Barbed Wire Background with Edwin's Oldsmobile. Perfect for my Dad. 

I coloured the car to look as though it had been sitting in the paddock rusting over the years. So very Australian. 

The options from the bingo card I have used are Charms, Die Cuts and Paint.

TOMIC #53 - our one year anniversary!

Hi there everyone, 

Can you believe it is the first anniversary of TOMIC already?  Where did time go?

The theme is ANYTHING GOES!

Magnolia have lovely prizes and the DT are giving away our cards as prizes as well. 

This is Tilda with Winding Flowers from the new Summer Memories collection. 

I love this little sweetie. 

The sentiment is Lily of the Valley. I've used my Spellbinders Labels 10 dies to create an easel card.  The pretty papers are MME Lost and Found 2.

I've added lots of glitter and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Honeybee Tilda

Hi everyone! Thanks for dropping by to visit me today.

I have finally masked together two of the new stamps from Magnolia. I've had them sitting on my desk for about a month now and I felt like I was neglecting them. I just needed the time to sit down and give them the benefit of extra time to colour them. This is HoneyBee Tilda and Meadow Daisy, both from the Summer Memories 2012 collection. 

All of the gorgeous flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts. 

The lacy edge is Berry lace doo hickey from Magnolia as well.

Tilda and Wiola

Happy Mothers Day everyone! I hope you had a great day :)

My hubby and little people let me have a sleep in this morning, wow, its been... a year since my last one haha. 

There is a new challenge up at Magnolia Down Under Challenges today. This week we have a great sketch from Lori and we also have an option - to use doilies and doo hickey dies. I didn't manage a doily, but I did use a doo hickey on my card. Along with a sweet MFT Eiffel Tower die. There is something about this week stamp, Tilda with Wiola, that says Paris to me :) 

The papers are MME "Lost and Found 2".  All of the pretty pink and white flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts, as is the lace, rhinestones and pretty corner.

Summer Flower Tilda

Happy Saturday to you all... well, at least I think it should be Saturday everywhere in the world by now?

My card today is for The Sketchy Challenges. This week Kathrin is hosting and she has created a brilliant sketch to follow. 

I inked up Summer Flower Tilda from the new Summer Memories collection for my card today. The gorgeous cream lace is also Magnolia. I just love the lace they send out and I save it until I have a card for someone special.  This card is actually for my Mum for Mother's Day (sorry Mum, I've not sent it yet!!).

Most of the gorgeous flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. The papers are Prima Romantique (one of my favs). 

The sentiment is by Lily of the Valley. 

So yep, lots of Stickles again. I was really pleased how my card turned out, it was a bit touch and go there for a bit but of course, it was Kathrin's sketch, so it was always going to turn out well in the end!! haha :)

Is it Monday already? Gosh, where did the weekend go?

The cute little Magnolia stamp is Waterlily Tilda from the new Summer Memories collection which was released last week. She is sooo cute. I have paired her with some Prima paper.

TOMIC #47 - Inspiration photo and Get well or Best wishes

There is a new challenge at TOMIC this week. This week we have a gorgeous inspiration photo for you along with the theme "Get Well Wishes or Best Wishes".

I've finally had a chance to ink up this adorable "Edwin in Miami" from the new Summer Memories collection.  I've coloured Edwin in Copics and had a play putting in a sea background as well. 

I hope you get a chance to play along this week. The inspiration photo is just gorgeous, as are the DT examples.

Howdy all! There is a new challenge at TOMIC today - this week the challenge:

 DooHickey's & Mini World

A Doo Hickey tag must be the base of your project but you are allowed to place it on a bigger base + Use any stamp from Magnolia mini world on it.

First - I have to apologise for the dodgy photos, they were taken at night. I guess I have a bit to learn about photoshop! haha. I'll update them when I get some time on the weekend. 

My stamp club arrived this week so I had to ink up the new cuties. I dont know the names of the new stamps just yet but they are all lovely summer sea themed. Too cute!

I decided to decorate a larger gift bag to put my Mini world doo hickey Tilda tag on. The papers are a mix of October Afternoon. The flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts.
