Hiya :) I have finally inked up that adorable Summer Car from the Sweet Rainbow collection. It has been sitting on my desk for a few weeks now and it has been staring at me! I've masked Tilda with the car and the Sea background from the Summer collection from 2008.
I decided to make an easel card as the image ended up being quite large and I wasn't left with a lot of room for much else :) The gorgeous red floral paper is really pretty isn't it? A little bit kitsch. So I tried to keep with that theme and did the car red and added a lot of white paint and paper lace and doily.
I used a rub on on the pretty Magnolia doo hickey label and added some butterflies and pebble.
Thanks for visiting me today! I have something off the page to share with you tomorrow, so I hope you have a chance to stop back in for another chat :)

A Magnolia scrap page
Good morning! I hope you are well and enjoying your day where ever you are around the world. Are you having a great weekend?
Well... I promised to share my scrap layout... and here it is! It is for Magnolia Down Under Challenges new challenge which is up this morning - Stitching and Swirls. Why a scrap page you ask? Well... my gorgeous Magnolia Teamie Ying shared a layout she put together last week and I was inspired! She encouraged me to have a go so here it is... I have managed to use a few different Magnolia stamps on my layout... there is:
The year Jeroen and I were married we were lucky enough to go to Europe for a few weeks. One of the amazing places we visited while we were there was of course beautiful Paris. I have been meaning to do some layouts of our travels, wedding and our beautiful boys for a couple of years now but I never got around to it. So Ying, thank you so much for the encouragement, this is the first page of what is going to be a very full scrapbook!
I have possibly gone right over the top with my page, lol. I have so many gorgeous bits and pieces that I haven't used on cards because I'd been 'saving' them... so of course I put them all on the one page haha.
This beautiful crochet flower is made by one of my lovely blogging friends in Holland, Ingrid. Thanks Ing, I told you I'd put them to good use :) I am so pleased to have a little piece from Holland on my layout. Jeroen was born in Holland and we spent most of our holiday there so it was a must have :)
This gorgeous Prima pearl flourish was a pressie from another of my blogging besties, Karen.

The pink gingham yoyo is also from Karen for my birthday last year and the Prima flower is from the very gorgeous and talented Debbie P for my birthday this year. The crochet lace you can see peeking out under the flowers I've saved from a pressie from two gorgeous ladies, Jackie and Kylie aka "The Other One", lol. I'm very spoilt and I have the most wonderful friends.
The papers are all Girls Paperie. The little wooden bits and pieces are Kaisercraft and the sparkly hearts are Melissa Francis.
Thanks for checking out my scrapping. I know I have a bit to learn (like when enough is enough, lol) but I thoroughly enjoyed creating a page. Expect to see more!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend my friends,

TOMIC Challenge #3
Happy Monday everyone!
There is a new challenge up over at the TOMIC blog today! This week we have a fun theme for you to play with... SUMMER - we would like you to use your Magnolia stamps to create something Summer themed.
I've used two of the new stamps from the Sweet Rainbow collection - Watercan Tilda and Bird Background. I have watercoloured again! I find it really relaxing to paint as I have to slow down being a newbie to it. When I colour with Copics I tend to speed through the colouring process.
I've made a Pop up card. I have seen these on various blogs in the past few months and I really wanted to give one a go. They are surprisingly easy. Here it is closed:
And a side view....
We would love to see what you create for us this week, if you have a chance to make a Magnolia creation, please play along with our Summer theme :) We love checking out your work.
Thanks for dropping by to see me today, I really appreciate your visit. I'll be back later in the week with something else to share with you,
Hugs xx

Tilda is gardening!
Good morning Sunday! Well... it is Sunday already down here in Australia. And that means that it is time for another Magnolia Down Under Challenge. This week we are looking for.... Acetate.
I was a little bit stumped for what to do! I did consider a Shaker card, but there were already two of those on the blog and I am hopeless at stamping on acetate... just too impatient for the ink to set! I wanted to do something a little bit different so I thought I'd make an acetate box. I had no idea what I was going to put in it, or how it was going to turn out, I just grabbed some patterned paper and started scoring.
It took three attempts at scoring the acetate to get the fold correct, it was late at night and the old brain just wasn't cooperating! The top and bottom of the box are made from Prima Botanical paper and I was given a gorgeous new PATP set from one of my bloggie besties for my birthday so I had to test it out straight away!
I was in a bit of a painting mood so I inked up "Tilda's Birds", "Butterfly background" and "Garden Tilda" with Versafine and stamped them onto some delicious watercolour paper. I'm still a bit of a novice with watercolouring, but I was quite happy with how the images turned out. Like with Copics, the choice of paper really does make a difference.
In the base I've scrunched up some cheesecloth and glued in some flowers. The background is attached to the back of the acetate box and Tilda is standing on some tabs that I've attached to the base.
The edges of the box have been distressed with Walnut stain and liquid pearls dotted around.

Sorry for all of the photos, but I was kind of pleased with how my little box turned out. It is a bit like little Tilda is in an atrium, lol.

Flutterby....
Hello! I hope you have a nice weekend planned. We are hoping for a nice quiet one.
I've used the Large Butterfly from the Magnolia Butterfly Dreams collection and the new Sweet Rainbow mini papers.
My buttins are the cute little wooden bee buttons that I've had in my stash for ages. The edges have had a little bit of a white wash and distress.

TOMIC Challenge #2
Hi everyone! It is time for the 2nd challenge over at TOMIC, woohoo! Did you enjoy our first challenge? We certainly enjoyed checking out all of your entries. Thank you so much for all of your support :o)
This week's challenge is a colour combo - Pink, White and Brown. I've used this little cutie - Hopscotch Tilda. Isn't she just adorable?
I've gone a little bit punch crazy and used several from my drawer. I've also used a new Doo Hickey die, some pretty butterfly lace and a teeny bit of Crackle paint in Tattered Rose.
We would love for you to join us again this week. The winner is chosen at random and will receive a secret prize from Magnolia. Fantastic!
Have a fantastic week filled with craft,
Hugs xx

Me and my big.....Ideas :)
hahaha - caught you're interest there? I just want to show you my altered project for Magnolia Down Under Challenges 100th challenge which happens to be "Alter It". This adorable little Tilda is "Tilda with Ponytail" and she was just perfect for this purpose. She looks like she is deep in thought.
I decided to alter a note book that I found at a local craft store months ago which has been sitting on my desk waiting for my attention. The note book was sitting all alone in a reduced bin for $2 waiting for me to come along and adopt it. I wanted a little book I could jot down ideas for sketches or projects to keep me organised and inspired when feeling a little lacking in the old mojo. However, Mr Mojo had gone walkies and I almost didn't finish altering my notebook in time for the challenge.

However, Mr Mojo had gone walkies and I almost didn't finish altering my notebook in time for the challenge.
I covered the book with MME papers "Good Day Sunshine" and gave the raw edges a coat of 'vanilla' acrylic paint. The lace and ribbons on the binding are just little short bits I had left over from other projects that I couldn't bear to throw out, they came in handy afterall! I raided my button collection for some cute little buttons and tied on some string. The little frame that Tilda is sitting on is just some heavy board that I cut with nesties and painted, distress inked and glittered. There is some cheesecloth and a paper doily too. The glitter heart is by Melissa Francis.
On the inside cover I have made a little envelope to collect little bits and pieces. You can also see the detail of the gorgeous paper a little better :)
Thanks for visiting me :)
Have a great weekend!

Explore Tilda
Hi! How is your Thursday going so far? It is pretty chilli here in Canberra - brrrr - winter is definately here.
For my card today I have used the adorable new Explore Tilda from the Sweet Rainbow collection.
The frame Tilda is sitting in has been painted and covered in glitter. All of the paper edges are distressed wtih ink and also given a bit of a paint wash. The gorgeous doily is cut using a Dienamic and I've used a rub on for the sentiment. The little ants are from the Lazy Summer Days 2009 collection.
Thanks for checking in with me today! Enjoy the rest of your week :)

The Official Magnolia Inspirations Challenge #1!
Hi! And welcome to my post for Challenge #1 at The Official Magnolia Inspirations Challenge (TOMIC)! Yaaaaay!! We are all so excited.
For our first challenge all of the Magnolia DT girls who are participating in the challenge are playing along and after this week we break into groups. The first challege is very special - the theme is "Birthdays". The entire Design Team has created birthday cards to send to an extremely important person in the world of Magnolia stamps - the creater, our talented Pauline, who is celebrating her birthday today :)
The card I made for Pauline features one of her earlier Tilda stamps from 2006. Hasn't Tilda grown up? lol. This adorable little Tilda is "Gungande Tilda" from the Summer, Sun and Rain 2006 collection. I've made a circle card and punched a strip of white cardstock with a border punch and pleated it to create the pretty edge. The card also has had a little bit of a white wash with some Gesso. All of the flowers are rolled paper flowers and I've decorated the inside of the card as well. I hope Pauline likes the card when she opens the envelope.
We would love for you to come along with our first challenge. We are sponsored by Magnolia with the random winner receiving a secret package from Magnolia! We can't wait to see what you create :)
